My New House

Here's the pictures of the house that's soon to be mine. We (me and my realtor) THINK that the address is going to be 2224 Mallard St. It hasn't been assigned an address yet, but the house next door is 2222, and across the street is 2223. Since it's on a corner, the next blok starts the 2300s. As you can see, I'll have a lot of space to fill up, and a TON of yard work to do (actually... it's not yard work, it's more like yard creating). I'm just glad that I can get gardening supplies cheap (for those of you who don't know, my grandmother owns Slidell Feed & Seed, so I can get stuff at cost). The closing date for the house is scheduled for Nov 10, but the builder is anxious to do it as soon as possible, so it may be done as soon as the mortgage paperwork is finished. I'll post updates as things happen, and I'll probably put new pics here as I start to fix up the yard and fill the house with furniture.

Ok, on Nov 8th at 11:00 AM, I became the official owner of the house at 2224 Mallard St. So far, I've put blinds in all of the windows, gotten a fridge, put up a mailbox and started moving boxes. It'll still be a while before it feels like home, but I'm getting there. I've also got the cable, internet, and phone all hooked up now too. I still need to work on the yard though. The builder is supposed to come and level the front and back yards with a tractor, but once that's done, it's time to get to work with the grass seed.
